The Benefit Of Breathing Clean Air!

Allergies and asthma are two health problems that can be helped with clean indoor air. When airborne irritants are removed, allergy and asthma sufferers often find relief from their symptoms. Even healthy people who have never suffered from allergies can benefit from clean air. Dust, smoke and other particles float around in the air, causing your drapes and furniture to gather dust. By removing airborne dust particles, you reduce the amount of exposure your respiratory system has to them.

When should a mold inspection and mold testing be considered?
When visible mold is not present, but the smell of mold is. Here a mold inspection and mold test can reveal whether there is indeed elevated mold, and where it is located.
There have been plumbing leaks or water issues and there is a suspicion that elevated mold may exist in the air and/or behind walls.
Post Mold Removal Clearance Testing to ensure that the previous mold issue has been resolved and mold counts have returned to levels found in normal environments of the same type.
Health Concerns: In some cases, a doctor or the patient has a health issue that they cannot pinpoint the cause but seems to be related to mold symptoms (coughing, sneezing, headaches, etc). Here, a mold inspection and test may help to confirm whether the doctor’s or patient’s suspicions that a mold problem exists.
For real estate transactions for the protection of Buyers and Sellers.
Landlord/Tenant disputes as to whether there is a mold problem.
Someone thinks they see or smell mold but are not sure.
Someone is interested in a general Indoor Air Quality test of their environment.

Our Mold inspections look for evidence of past & current mold growth. ... Past mold growth may cause sensitized individuals to have allergic reactions or, cause some individuals to start becoming sensitized to mold.

Symptoms include cough, itchy, watery eyes, and hives. People who have asthma may experience wheezing and difficulty breathing.
People may experience:
Nasal: runny nose, post-nasal drip, or sneezing
Eyes: itchiness, puffy eyes, or watery eyes
Also common: coughing, shortness of breath, or throat irritation.

An allergen is a substance that causes an allergic reaction. Some examples of common allergens are dust mites, cat dander and pollen. Sometimes people can have severe allergic reactions to these substances that can lead to breathing problems (including serious asthma exacerbations) and even death. More often they cause bothersome symptoms such as runny nose, congestion and fatigue.

We start by taking samples of the dust & air around your home using a special vacuum. Once samples are obtained, we then send them to EMSL Lab for Analysis.  Once the samples are analysed a detailed report is delivered telling you what allergens are in your home. This report can tell you what allergens need to be removed from your home.

As a Certified Professional Inspector and Protocol Writer, you can rest assured that whatever mold/allergens are found in your home will be easily contained and removed by following a detailed set of instructions in your remediation protocol report. Once the remediation has been performed, we will come back and reinspect to ensure protocol was followed and that as much of if not all of the mold/allergens have been removed. (note: due to outside influences some mold/allergens may still be present in low numbers.)
